Does anyone know about the Amati Kraslice Clarinets as to quality and workmanship ect. I am considering purchasing a couple of these instruments (a Bb and an A) They are full Boehms with the bottom Eb extension and look to be in very good condition. The model numbers are, for the Bb ACL 605 and for the A ACL 675 The asking price is very reasonable. Oct 19, 2016 Amati Kraslice Clarinet Serial Number. Nazi regalia. Care to show a picture of the logo on the bell? Does it have the modern Amati 'ak' logo, does it have an upward 'Amati' handwriting logo, does it have the horizontal italic 'Amati' on it? Silver or nickel? I have a number of Amatis.
They (the factory, not my clarinets) went through quite a lot highs and lows. Some Westerners might frown at the mere thought of a 'Commie Horn', but I found their quality and workmanship no worse than many American intermediate clarinets.
Amati is manufacturing instruments for a lot of other companies who sell it under their own name. Skin svinki peppi majnkraft. Links: The one in my collection that might resemble yours most has #408161. It's a near-full-boehm instrument (19 keys 7 rings) and has the 'italic' logo on the bell. (it doesn't say 'Luxus' anywhere, so.).
It has metal sleeves on the upper joint tenons as well as on the bell side tenon on the lower joint. By today's naming conventions it'd be an ACL-314 or a 614; googling around showed that the old 'Luxus' series compares to their today's 6xx (professional) series, but I think it's somewhere in between the intermediate and pro.
FWIW mine sounds great, the intonation is impeccable. You might want to try different mouthpieces, it accounts for a lot of the sound and the ease of playing. Properly set-up, Amatis are fine instruments.
